Description
As a corporate lawyer, you support the various research departments and central services regarding research projects, national and international collaborations with third parties, as well as the day-to-day operation of the company.

The projects in which the legal department provides assistance and advice range from research in the deep subsurface to research projects for devices in space; from assignments of private and public clients established in the local region to clients established in the Middle and Far East; from drafting an agreement for the development, licensing and/or export (Dual Use) of state-of-the-art technology to drafting a lease agreement for a foreign PhD student or guest researcher.

You relieve your internal clients (researchers, business developers, project managers, support services, management) of administrative legal matters that are not directly related to his or her project.
You will pro-actively provide legal support, give advice within the organization in the context of contract negotiations and you will be involved in various projects as a consultant.

You draw up (commercial) contracts, review them and/or provide the necessary input.
You are interested in public procurement, intellectual property and national and European subsidy schemes. You follow trends, you develop an active network and you ensure that you are constantly informed about the legal framework.
You actively contribute to the functioning of the service and help make it more efficient in supporting the organization by elaborating optimization proposals.
Together with your colleagues from contract administration and the public tenders cell, you will be part of the 'support services' that are responsible for the administrative support of the organization in all its parts.
