PhD in materials or chemical engineering with a strong affinity for electrochemistry

Qualification

 

  • Practical experience in the areas of electrocatalyst synthesis, ionic conductors, water or CO2 co-electrolysis
  • A good understanding of fundamentals of electron transfer
  • A good understanding of mass transport phenomena
  • A good knowledge of material synthesis and characterization techniques is a plus
  • A previous post graduate experience is  a plus

The candidate should also have a strong background in some of the following:

  • Powder synthesis and conditioning
  • Membrane electrode assemblies
  • Electrochemical set-ups and/or in-situ characterization of electrochemical processes
  • Assessment of electrocatalysts
  • Physical characterization of materials (XPS, AES, Raman, FTIR, TGA, XRD, SEM, TEM)
