Are you part of an energy community, citizen group, local authority, NGO, or another organisation passionate about spearheading citizen-led renovation projects?

Then we warmly invite you to participate in the support service for Citizen-Led Renovation (CRL), an EU-funded initiative in collaboration with VITO/EnergyVille. Its goal? To enable established and prospective energy communities to take charge of energy renovations, empowering citizens to take the lead.

What’s in it for your community?

The support service for Citizen-Led Renovation targets energy communities, seeking to set up and replicate citizen-led initiatives for energy renovations and renewable installations. Whether you are part of a seasoned energy community or exploring the concept for the first time, the support service offers tailored assistance to meet your specific needs.

By joining the support service for Citizen-Led Renovation, your energy community can benefit from multiple advantages. From co-developing project pipelines to receiving assistance in administrative procedures and project management, you can rest assured that your needs will be met. Moreover, you will have the opportunity to engage in mutual learning experiences with other communities and gain access to a multi-stakeholder exchange platform.

Your role: Pilot, Learner, or Follower

Depending on your energy community’s stage of development, you can participate in the support service for Citizen-Led Renovation as a Pilot, Learner, or Follower:

  • Pilots: Established energy communities receive comprehensive support in project development, implementation, and replication.
  • Learners: Emerging energy communities receive guidance in developing their capacity for initiating and managing renovation projects.
  • Followers: Communities interested in exploring citizen-led renovation are provided with insights, learning materials, and networking opportunities to prepare for future implementation.
