We focus on our unique technology platforms, such as 3D printing, electrochemistry and data technology, moving towards larger pilot projects, demonstration areas and living labs. We demonstrate that the technology really works at large scale, so that companies have to make less risky investments.

Support for SMEs
VITO actively supports SMEs with their requirements for innovation in all areas where VITO can offer knowledge and technology. The SME team will put you in touch with VITO experts, guide you through the subsidy options and act as your one point of contact for all other aspects. SMEs and large companies will also be linked up as part of a unique co-creation programme, with the aim of working together to produce innovations. The SME team also organises regular open calls for consortium projects, in cooperation with other organisations.

- Max. 7.500 € steun op basis van 30% steun voor kleine ondernemingen en 20 % voor middelgrote ondernemingen.
KMO-groeisubsidie
VITO als externe dienstverlener:
- Nieuwe strategie uitrollen, product lanceren, markt verkennen?
- Strategisch advies van een externe dienstverlener of de bruto loonkost van een strategisch profiel
- Max. 50 000 € subsidie per jaar, per groeitraject (25 000 € advies + 25 000 € versterking)
Investing in the future
VITO also focuses on commercialisation and valorisation of its own innovations. We put our technology on the market so that companies can work with it, while generating resources that we can reinvest in new research.
We also support young companies that contribute to greater sustainability with technical knowledge, a proof-of-concept and/or access to infrastructure. With the interactive pitch competition VITO4STARTERS, VITO strengthens the start-up community and the Flemish economic fabric.
