VITO is the Reference Laboratory for the Flemish Government as regards Air Quality Measurements executing mainly three subtasks:
- Advice to the competent authority concerning the recognition of laboratories
- Organising round robin tests for the recognised laboratories
- Development, validation and dissemination of analysis and measurement methods
As a laboratory with ample expertise and equipped with fixed and mobile measurement platforms VITO offers its expertise to industry and Governments in projects with higher complexity and in case of non routine parameters.
