EMMC delivers high quality support on all issues mainly related to the closure of mines and all types of site remediation: mine issues related to National or European legislation, environmental management, water management, material recovery for added-value, social issues related to mine closure, land use and rehabilitation. EMMC is a consortium consisting of VITO, Eco-Efficiency, Euromines and WEFalck.
Capacity building
The centre provides a facility for sharing our knowledge and train local experts so that they will be able to work independently over the years to come. The capacity building approach can involve on-the-job-training.
The EMMC’s experts executes tasks as guiding, consulting and training the local stakeholders simultaneously.This way of ‘Doing and Training’ will deliver the most cost-efficient results.
