Innovation for Security and Defence: VISD Launch Event geo-intelligence - energy - environment

Security and defence today require strong collaboration between government, knowledge institutions and industry. Technological innovation plays a crucial role in this context. Through the Flemish Innovation and Industrial Strategy for Security and Defence (VISD), the Flemish Government is therefore actively investing in the development of strong ecosystems around strategic technologies. 

Within VISD, VITO takes on the programme management role for the geo-intelligence, energy and environment roadmaps. In this capacity, we are organising a VISD Launch Event in Brussels on Friday 12 June 2026. 

During this event, companies, knowledge institutions, government bodies and defence stakeholders will come together to discuss current security and defence challenges, as well as concrete opportunities for innovation, collaboration and funding.
