Carolin plays an active role in several arenas promoting the transition to a more sustainable and circular built environment. Over the years Carolin has built up a comprehensive knowledge in the field of sustainable value chain management in the built environment, using methods like life cycle assessment (LCA), life cycle costing (LCC), product environmental footprint (PEF), multi-criteria assessments (MCA) and circularity assessments at different scale levels (building materials, building components and elements, buildings and districts). Carolin has been involved in the performance of various research and consultancy projects in which widely differing product types have been analyzed with both government and industry as target groups.
