Strategic partnership between Xoople and VITO to scale Earth Intelligence
Xoople and VITO today announced a strategic partnership to develop and bring to market a new generation of Earth Intelligence solutions for businesses, governments, and public sector organisations. By combining European sovereign capabilities, the partnership builds on work already underway. The first jointly developed solutions are expected to be available as a public preview in the fourth quarter of 2026, with the first commercial launches planned for 2027.
VITO and Xoople will collaborate to accelerate the adoption of Earth Intelligence solutions by businesses and government organisations. The partnership combines VITO’s expertise in Earth observation and ready-to-deploy analytical applications with Xoople’s Earth data platform, processing infrastructure, and enterprise integrations.
Together, the organisations will accelerate the deployment of scientifically validated Earth Intelligence solutions that enable businesses and governments to monitor, understand, and respond to changes on the Earth’s surface. Initially, the collaboration will focus on applications including agriculture, environmental monitoring, supply chain traceability, infrastructure intelligence, climate risk assessment, and AI-driven analytics. Selected defence and security applications will also form part of the focus areas.
New Applications
The first concrete initiatives include joint customer engagements, pilot programmes, and product development based on existing Earth Intelligence capabilities and Earth observation datasets. At the same time, the partners are preparing new applications that could, in the future, utilise data from Xoople’s planned satellite constellation.
The collaboration spans the entire Earth Intelligence value chain, from enhancing satellite observations to translating data into insights that support operational and strategic decision-making.
VITO and Xoople are already collaborating on VITO’s iCOR atmospheric correction technology. In addition, they are developing applications for global agricultural land and crop type mapping, crop monitoring, and yield forecasting.
Making Earth Intelligence More Accessible
By combining VITO’s scientific expertise and Earth observation capabilities with Xoople’s scalable data infrastructure and commercial ecosystem, the partners aim to make Earth Intelligence more accessible for applications in food systems, supply chains, financial services, climate and environmental management, and the public sector.
