Abhimanyu Kaushal

Abhimanyu Kaushal received B. Tech. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from National Institute of Technology, Hamirpur, India in 2009. From 2009 to 2015, he worked at Power Grid Corporation of India Limited in different roles. He completed his M.Sc. in Electrical PowerEngineering from Rheinisch-Westfälische Technische Hochschule (RWTH) Aachen, Germany in 2018. Since 2018, he is working on the topic of Ancillary services support with HVDC systems for his PhD from ELECTA, KU Leuven, Belgium. He joined VITO/EnergyVille in July 2023, as a researcher in the energy markets team. His research interests include electricity markets, TSO-DSO coordination, power system optimization, power system security and operation of hybrid AC/DC transmission systems.
