Anibal Sanjab received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from VirginiaTech (USA) in 2014 and 2018, respectively. After a subsequent year as apostdoctoral associate at the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department atVirginia Tech, he joined VITO/EnergyVille in October, 2019 as a seniorresearcher in the energy technology unit. He is currently involved in various European and Belgian projects, including CoordiNet, Flex Plan, and EPOC, and was previously involved in various US-based projects focusing on distributed energy management, cyber-physical system security, and power system operationand statistical analysis. His research experience and current interests focus on electricity and energy markets, prosumer-centric energy management, TSO-DSO-prosumer coordination, game theory and optimization, behavioral game theory and bounded rationality, power systems (operation, planning, and control), and cyber-physical systems security and operation. He was awarded the best student paper award at the IEEE SmartGridComm'15, and he is the recipient of the Fulbright scholarship for the years 2012-2014. He has served on the organizing and technical program committees for a number of international conferences and workshops.
