You can apply by responding online to an advertised vacancy. This means that you create and submit a file, which notifies us of your application. This allows us to store your data centrally – and be fully GDPR-compliant – so that we can start processing your application in a specific way.
Each vacancy features the contact details of one our HR staff members. They are there to familiarise you with the process, provide feedback and answer any questions you may have before, during or after your application. VITO operates a clearly inclusive recruitment policy.
We carry out initial screening based on your CV. If you are selected at this stage, you will be invited for a first interview. During this interview, you will be given further information about the next stages in the selection process, which may vary from vacancy to vacancy. Generally speaking, the process includes two selection interviews involving different staff members (HR, manager, experts, etc.), which focus on different aspects. We often also use tests (online tests, cases, assessment centre, etc.) in order to explore how well you match the vacancy and VITO.
The process for doctoral positions is different, and the details are clearly described on the PhD web pages and in the PhD regulations.
We will process your application quickly, discreetly and with due attention. Our recruiters and hiring managers are trained professionals who will assess and support you accordingly during the application process. Read all about our Open, Transparent and Merit Based Recruitment Policy (OTM-R Policy).
If you are not an eligible candidate, we will notify you of this. If this is the case, however, please keep an eye on our jobsite. Who knows – there may be some new vacancies of interest to you in the future. You can also follow us on LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter, where we also announce our vacancies.
We wish you every success!
