Supported by VITO’s air quality team, VITO’s daughter company Beijing LIBOVITO Environmental Co Ltd. has successfully implemented its first commercial IFDM platform this month in Ningjin County, Hebei Province, China.
Tailor designed IFDM front-end by LiboVITO
“IFDM Environmental Air Quality Management Platform” is a comprehensive policy supporting tool which can be used by different levels of Chinese municipal governments to monitor their air quality problems and to support their decision-making by taking into consideration the potential impact on air quality. The back-end core of IFDM was developed by VITO’s air quality team. Its front-end UI was completely tailor designed and developed by LiboVITO taking into consideration the needs of Chinese local environmental agencies. This way IFDM can address most of their air quality questions.
The future of IFDM in China
After the successful implementation of OPAQ (Operational Prediction of Air Quality) in more than 30 Chinese cities, IFDM is the second VITO environmental modeling product that is commercially promoted in China. LiboVITO is expecting a great extension of commercial implementation of IFDM in China in the coming 2-3 years, not only on the city level, but also in bigger counties such as Ningjin.
